Hi, I’m Patricia

I am the artist behind Rue Due Chateau Papeterie.

The story of RDC begins in southern France, and so named as an homage to the place that left me deeply inspired.

Our stationery is artful, full of whimsy and nostalgia. It is warm, a little imperfect, and full of joy.

RDC paper goods are inspired by many things, including the warmth and artistry of Provençal France, vintage aesthetics, childhood memories, and the Pacific Northwest.

Every piece is made to be cherished. Whether you are mailing a card to someone you miss, marking an occasion with an invitation that arrives like an event in itself, or simply making an ordinary Tuesday feel special, RDC is here to celebrate those moments.

When I studied abroad in Provence, something clicked into place. I found some of my closest friends there, including my husband. I was deeply inspired by the art, history, landscape, and culinary arts.

I fell in love with the unhurried rhythms of southern French life, with market days, stone walls and picnics under cherry trees. I still dream about sparkling lavender lemonade, fresh goat cheese, and crusty baguette on a warm summer afternoon. The smell of lavender and fresh hay on the breeze with Common Swifts chirping through the sky will live rent-free in my head forever.

Years later, Pieter and I returned to southern France to celebrate our wedding with the people and the place that had brought us together.

Designing the materials for the party, creating something physical that our guests could hold and take home, brought RDC to life. The act of winding down the sunny days around a long table, and sharing deep conversations over delicious food captured the real essence of RDC.

Pull up a chair and enjoy a little escape into the world of Rue Du Chateau.
